Sunday morning a short road run to
Buzzard
Valley Vineyard & Shop kindly
organized and led by Bruce and Deb,
I stayed behind to get my cruiser
"Luvlee Jublee" ready for the
afternoons float. Four TCC members
kindly offered our Bug Club members
a cruise down the canal on their
boats with John's and mine we had
six boats in convoy. Just
like Bugs one boat had a fuel issue
and their passengers transferred to
another boat part way. A quick drink
at the first pub (Three Tuns), the
owners turned their boats around and
upon return, glad to say that the
stricken boat had been
fixed. Colin and Sandra
(TCC) joined us for the evening meal
at the Red Lion (Hopwas), thirty
four
of us, we filled the pub. The meal
was great and the pub handled our
numbers brilliantly. Back at TCC
a chance to rest socialise and play
a few games of "Play your cards
right". | Monday morning a bit of drizzle,
road runs to Chuborough Sprint
Course and Aldridge Transport
Museum, my passenger for the day my
Step Grandson and big fan of Bond
Bugs Harrison. On the way back
we also visited The Staffordshire
Regiment Museum all in all a great
day despite the weather. Spent
part of the evening fixing an
underground water pipe leak (April
fools
revenge)
accidentally pierced by a tent peg,
well done Sean for his quick fixing
skills. Later in the clubhouse
after a
Chinese meal (ordered in), we had
few
more rounds
of "Play your cards right". |

I must also thank TCC members Nigel
& Jane,
Phil & Jackie, Dave & Trudi, Colin &
Sandra for the boat float and to all
the TCC
members for making our weekend so
welcoming. |
